Where exactly is MONS?
MONS is located at Berg 54, 6675 Tannheim, Tyrol – right in the heart of the Tannheimer Tal, at around 1,100 metres above sea level. The valley sits just a few kilometres from the German border, making it an easy drive from Bavaria, and roughly two hours from Innsbruck.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Your room or suite is ready from 2 p.m. If you expect to arrive after 6 p.m., we’d kindly ask you to give us a quick ring on +43 (0)5675 6788 so we can have everything prepared for you.
On the day of departure, we ask that you check out by 11 a.m.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
If you book a double room, our breakfast is included as standard. If you’re staying in a suite, you’re welcome to add breakfast for a small supplement.
Expect a generous spread: freshly baked bread, local dairy products, homemade jams and spreads, savoury egg dishes, wholesome mueslis, regional charcuterie and cheeses, fresh fruit, and a glass of sparkling wine to start the day properly.
What does the wellness area at MONS include?
Our wellness facilities are complimentary for all hotel guests and include:
- Finnish sauna (80-90 °C)
- Steam bath (40-45 °C)
- Relaxation room with comfortable loungers
- Garden oasis with sun terrace and mountain views
- Yoga and leisure room
Massages can be booked on request at reception. The private sauna on the balcony is exclusive to guests staying in one of our Living Suites.
Does MONS have a restaurant?
MONS is a breakfast hotel with its own Wine Bar, TOVINO. Tomas is on hand to serve small bites, sharing plates, and – every Monday – freshly handmade dumplings in all sorts of variations, from Tyrolean Speck to Caprese to Chorizo.
For a proper sit-down dinner, there are several lovely restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. Sonja is delighted to share her personal favourites.
Is TOVINO Wine Bar open to non-hotel guests?
Absolutely! The Wine Bar TOVINO is open to everyone, whether you’re staying at MONS or simply passing through. All are welcome to enjoy the selection of over 300 wines, fine spirits and delicious nibbles.
- Opening hours: Thursday – Monday, 4 p.m. – 11.30 p.m.
- Dumpling Monday: every Monday from 6 p.m.
- Wine tastings: available on request
What’s included for active guests at MONS?
Quite a lot, as it happens! The following are all complimentary for MONS guests:
- Free rides on the summer mountain lifts (during selected periods)
- Free rides on the winter mountain lifts (during selected periods)
- Free use of the ski and hiking bus
- Free entry to the Haldensee open-air swimming lake
- Bicycle and hiking pole hire
- Heated ski storage room
Are pets welcome at MONS?
They certainly are – your four-legged companions are most welcome at MONS! We charge a small supplement of €30.00 per night (food not included). Please do let us know at the time of booking so we can prepare accordingly.
Is there a tourist tax?
Yes. The local tourist tax amounts to €3.50 per person, per night for guests aged 16 and over. It is charged in addition to the room rate and is not included in the quoted price. Children under 16 are exempt.
Are there reduced rates for children?
Yes – children up to the age of 13 benefit from reduced rates when sharing a room or suite with two full-paying adults. Please click here for the current pricing.
